altama stalls
 

95 altama stalls without warning goes dead sometimes it will start back up and sometimes it has to set for a couple of hours changed plugs cap and roter checked fuel filter when it runs it runs fine once it had a slight miss just before it stalled checked spark once and think it had none when it would not start very weird please help11

i personally could not tell you whats wrong without actually spending a couple of hours with it cause. i would take it to a nissan dealer and pay them an hour of diagnosis and then if its a part that you can replace, then replace it yourself but if not have the nissan techs do it.

my 96 did the same thing. ended up that oil was leaking into the distributor where I think its the camshaft sensor is. I used gasket maker to fix the problem because you cant by the rubber ring gaskets. the only other way to fix it is replace the distributor because it comes with new rings and gaskets.

i had my distributor switched out a year ago, but the problem is back.
can i just clean it out and find/make a gasket for it?
