Default How to prime oil pump?

I recently changed-out the tranmission in my 95 altima. Had it up on jack stands for a few days while i worked on it after work. Transmission change went fine, but now my engine oil light is on. Clicking noise tells me the pumps not pumping. Anyone have any suggestion on how to get the pump primed. Car is running well, 330,000 miles. Oil light never on before.
Thanks in advance for your help.

If you drain the oil and it's got bubbles in it or has turned white, then you have a blown seal and water is getting into the oil pump because it overheated due to water lacking. Your pump is powered by two parallel belts connected to your engine. You should make sure not to starve your pump from water. When the water tank is empty turn off the engine. Starving a pump will burn it out in about thirty-five minutes.
