How to replace Boot at external CV joint?

Some time ago, I tried to loose the hub nut (36mm) at one of my front wheels. I tried to do this in order to inspect the hub bearings, since I heard popping noise while driving. I took a wrench 3feet length, jacks under it. The car just raised. The nut sucked. And so I was unable to unscrew the nut. But now I have another story (problem).

Now the Boot at external CV joint is damaged.
Questions:
- How to replace it?
- Do I still have to unscrew the hub nut, or this is not necessary?
For example, Can I unscrew the ball-joint, shock absorber with the spring, remove the brake caliper and other stuff and pull out the axis together with the hub from the gear box? Will this work? After that I will need to disassemble one of the two CV-joint and I can change both Boots. That is my guess! :(

You normally have to remove the wheel front the strut. My son say it is possible to remove the tie rods ends and so the brake drum will turn out far enough to remove and install a new cv joint axle. Go to your local library for a repair manual
