How to replace a power antenna for a Nissan Altima GXE 1997?

Can anyone please give me step by step instructions, or a website with the instructions for the replacement of a power antenna for a Nissan Altima GXE 1997?

Also, will a universal replacement antenna work? If so, which one? Or should I buy the factory Nissan model?

i replaced mine on my 1999 altima gxe and i put a basic rubber antenna and it does the job, so i suppose that you don't need an antenna from nissan or a power antenna... but you should wait to see if anybody else says the opposite...
