idle and RPM problems! Please help!!!!!
 

i have a 2003 altima 3.5
i wanted to know what was going on with my car. i was getting on the freeway so i accelerated to catch up with the speed limit. i have an auto trans so it down shifted and all of a sudden the car began to jolt. i look at my RPM and it wont go pass 2.5 RPM. it felt as if though the engine was red lining but at 2.5 RPM. i got off the freeway and took the streets home. the car idleling as if though it wanted to turn off. when i would go on the green light, it felt as if the gears werent grabbing. so the RPM would rise and the car woudlnt go. it would then grab and the car would jolt and take off.

i really need some help to see whats going on. any help is GREATLY appreciated.

Wow I also have the same problem with my Nissan 2005 2.5L... Now my Service engine light is on.. This is a week after Nissan had done the free 21 point inspection and had informed me that I should clean my throttle body.. Of coarse I declined the offer because 119 dolars just to clean a throtle body is outrageous! I ALSO need help!
