Need help Camshaft sensor
 

Altima 03: I have service engine soon light few weeks back. After light came next day my car shutdown on hwy. It did start after 10 mins though. I took car to mechanic and the code was camshaft sensor. So I changed the both Cam and Crank sensors but light came back same day and now sometime car doesn't start for few cranks. It starts after 5-10 mins though. So my mechanic is saying the code is same although we have changed the sensors.

Yesterday i took my car to Nissan dealership. The dealership is saying that we suspect your timing chain is out. Its will cost around $ 1700 to fix but even then we cant grantee that the problem will go away after fixing chain. They are just guestimating. Anybody knows whats going on with my car? Any help?

I think the dealer as suggested you right but then do check that out from an local body shop. then compare the charges.
