Default Need Info!!!

i am doing a tranny swap on my 94 altima, from auto to 5spdand i want to know if i have to change the ECU system from the 5spd to my auto, becuase i,m worried that my car won,t start because of the safety switch on the pedal, a guy told me that if i don,t have to change it i can just wire the wire into the saftey switch on the auto shift lever, i just want to know if that will work or not, any help is appreciated

thanks

you can use the auto ecu but it will freak out cause it will think you dont have a transmission and you will always have a check engine light, but if you find a manual ecu at a salvage yard or ebay it can fix that. also you can just connect the two neutral saftey switch wires together, you just wont need to push in the clutch to start the vehicle
