it died in a busy intersection today wouldnt restart. I had to jump start but then acted like it was running underwater, all muffled sounding and choking and bogging down when I gave it gas, rpm's jumping all over the place-Im guessing distributor? I just replaced the damn distributor 2 yrs ago, could a cap/rotor cause this? The battery was replaced last week and the alternator was done last year...Help me please!

 

Does it have any compression? Overheating at all? You might have a problem that will require heavy line work, cracked piston or ring, etc.
