Default Windshield crack. Does the repair really work?

Hi. I was driving my 03 Altima today a a rock whack my windshild. The damage was a chip in the glass and what appears to be a small crack underneath it. I can not feel the crack inside or outside the car. I want to chatch it before it spreads. Has anyone used those auto glass repair services like Safelite. If so was it worth it, and how did it look after it was repaired? Thanks for any info.

They can fix chips where you cant see them, but if a crack????
I would check with them and see what they say. If they say they can fix it, I would let then do it.

Your windshield may become worse due to weather's changing condition and inevitable shocksthe crack may appear larger as time goes By.using other waysthan Nissan body parts for your car would ruin your vehicle.

Using a non-OEM windshield isn't bad, as long as it's reputable. ie: Don't get it from just anybody, make sure it has a warranty! Get it repaired sooner rather than later because it will only get worse, and more expensive to fix. However, if the crack does get big enough you'll want to replace the windshield because that can cause more problems than you want.
