Brand New 06 Frontier LE - PAINT PROBLEM!
 

Well I was washing my truck this morning and realized that there was somthing in the upper middle part of my hood so i thought it was tar, so I got the tar remover out and rubbed it on the spots, but they werent coming off! So i looked closely and noticed it was rust spots on the paint..... I have about 10 small spots and a little bit bigger spot on my hood the small spots on the hood are under the clear coat and the big spot is already gone through the clear coat, so my hood is rusting and ive had the truck for 2 months now! Im taking it in on Tues. to get the recall prob. fixed and thats when they are going to take a look at the paint so if they dont fix it all hell will break loose. Ill have to post some pics once i get them up.

I'm sorry to hear that FrontierLE. I had to fight for 6 1/2 months and didn't get any results. If they don't help you out go to another dealer until you find one that is reputable. (SP) Not all of them are crooks but I'm thinking a good percentage of them are.

What recall do you have....I just bought an 06 too. Majestic Blue[&:]

I have a spot on my bumper that has come off, a bit larger than a quarter. It is yet to be determined whether NIssan will take care of it. The service guy said" that must have been quite an acidy bug"

The recall was for the gas cap somthing to do with it if you get into an accident it could come off some how and supposivly start on fire or what not. So took it in and got that fixed only took like 20min. to do nothing to big. You should of got a letter in the mail for it. Also they are covering my hood so i will be getting a new paint job on the hood as of July 6th and it better be good or all hell is going to break loose! Later all.
