RE: gps for 2006 frontier LE
I'm not sure about a gps but I prefer Toyo open road tires. I put a set on my 92 Dodge Dakota 4x4 about 5 years ago and they still have 25% tread. (Maybe 50 to 60,000 on them.) I also put a set on my 05 Frontier CC LE 4X4.

Take a look at the Alpine GPS model N872A. It is expensive and excellent. A cheaper solution is their Blackbird protable GPS (you can take it into any vehicle).
I once bought Yokahama tires for a jeep wrangler. Very quiet and good quality.

Not sure on the GPS, there are a lot of good ones out there.
I was really impressed with Bridgestone Dueler REVO AT's. Great tread, not too expensive(at least the ones I bought while in the state of Maine) and lasted over 45,000 miles but I traded the vehicle in on my 2006 Frontier LE so they would have lasted even longer.

I have my laptop with Microsoft Streets and Trips 2006! Can you say what a bad a$$ program that is. Enter the address or what not from one location to another and boom voice prompted directions, compass, your speed, latitude longitude, altitude, the street your on, exact location! A REAL AWESOME GPS PROGRAM
