idle air control valve
 

I get a trouble light now and again, it comes on and off....mainly for the TPS sensor(which I replaced), and for the idle air control valve. My question is can this part be cleaned since it isnt a constant problem, or is it just worth buying a new one? Mainly the truck idles high (2k) then drops to about 500, or it will lope between 1k, and 2k. But the light comes on at times, then after a week or so, it goes off. The new idle air control valve is $163 so I thought I'd ask.
