I am having some trouble with a 1998 4 cylinder Nissan Frontier and it has me about to pull my hair out or throw a match on it.

The truck has a lot of miles on it and has been a good one, however last week the odomter started messing up and the transmsission is having problems.

The truck has 165,000 miles but suddenly the odometer reads 999,999 and all of the gauges are doing crazy stuff. In addition the transmission is not shifting right.

Short of towing it to the dealer, I do not know what to do.

Any suggestions from those who are knowledgeable about this kind of stuff would be greatly appreciated.
