Nissan Forum - Nissan Enthusiast Forums - Pulsar with Unidentified Motor

hey all,

i am a toyota mr2 guy but just baught a pulsar from a wrecking yard and it has a motor that i have never seen.

DOHC
4-cyl
has AE on the timing belt cover
has coil packs instead of dist.
has an intake manifold with NICS or something like that on it

can you guys help me figure out where this motor came from and what year it is so i can get some parts. If you need more info to figure it out let me know and i will check it out.

I got it started but it runs like crap. Needs a new oil pan because the one on it has a small crack and drips slowely. Always loved nissans, finally happy to have one!
