2002 maxima hid headlights on a 2001

i have a 2001 nissan maxima and i wanted to change my headlights to the newer 2002-03 hid headlights. the only problem is i dont know if i need to make any modifications or do any rewiring. can anyone help. please be as specific as possible. thanks
