91 Nissan Maxima Rad Fans?
 

I was just wondering if i have a problem or not. My fans only come on when i turn on my AC or Heat. Is this normal with this model? or should they come on at a certain temp?

Does the engine have cooling problems, boiling?
If so, maybe belt slack, air in system (bleed), pump blades corroded, rad blocked

On moderate weather and no A/C on, the fans will not normally start, maybe on long idle. Fans do have 2 speeds. Check out http://www.cardomain.com/ride/748507/7 & page 8

Test disconnect EGRC temp sensor connector: idle rpm raises, both fans at max speed. Now u know that ECU got the signal, energized all 3 fan relays, fans do their job...
