Crankshaft position sensor

my 1998 nissan maxima is hard to start and engine light is on. Just had a used engine put in. Code comes up 1335. I believe that means the crankshaft position sensor is bad.
Does anyone know anything about this? I think it's located on the crankshaft housing on the passenger side of the car. But, I saw a diagram that showed two. One said REF, and the other said POS. Not sure what that means. Not sure which one needs to be replaced, but I think it would be the one on the crankshaft.
Thanks,
Randy

I replaced the sensor at the front of the engine near the oil pan, and now the car starts immediately...no cranking over and over. But, I still have CEL light on dashboard. Do I need to change both sensors?
The CEL light could be due to the "torque converter clutch circuit interrmittant" code P0744 that I got when the car was inspected. After some research I changed out the tranny fluid, disconnected the battery, drove the car, disconnected battery again, started car up after reconnecting battery, and the CEL is still on.
Not sure how to get rid of the light. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Randy

Once you make repairs you have to clear computer to get the CEL off!
