Starting delay '99 Max

When I go to start the vehicle, the engine has to turn over a few times before catching and there's a bit ofsluggishnesstoo before itgrabs. Theresponsiveness is just not there. It sounds like it won't grab but then it does. Also there are times when Itry using the remote start and it won't even turn over. I then go out to the car, turn the key,get that sluggishness and the engine starts.

Battery was checked and is good.
'Service engine soon' light is not on.
Spark plugs are new.
Air filter is good
121000 kms (75000 mi)
Idle is fine. Driving is normal. (No delays when stepping on gas)

I'm thinking it could be the starter.(how long are they supposed to last?) Ignition coils? Injectors?
Any help with this is greatly appreciated. Thanx

Depending on history, I guess the starter is in halfway house. The wiring/connectors can already be rotten. Check link page 5 below. If cranking speed is ok, forget starter...

Fuel pressure ok - pump/regulator? Coilpacks do wear out, typically after 100kmiles. Worn TPS -when cold- causes problems. Check for brittled vacuum hose ends, lots of them... Connectors cleanup time?, see p.14. Idle adj motor will get sooty after 60kmiles, cleanup time?

Why would the a/c condesor have anything to do with the starting problem????, and for you information all parts do eventually go bad, to me it sounds like the starter'sgoing bad you can take it off and have it tested at a local auto parts store to see if it bad if you dont know how to test a starter.

Hey y'all!
Turns out my battery had a damage/bad cell. I initially thought it was the starter but test showed it was good! Good chance for me to clean and lube the terminals though. Everything is working fine now. It's amazing as well what a new air filter can do forthe Maxima's idle. Instant results. Nice and smooth. Thanks for all your help guys (except for the a/c comment)!
