1992 pathfinder running rough when hot
 

Hi all
My 92 pathfinder has been very reliable and i love it, but Just recently a strange problem has popped up. Once i drive on the highway for a while the engine will surge and run rough when i slow down. It idles badly sometimes i have to 2 foot it to keep it running. If i depress the accelerator right down it will hesitate for a moment and then accelerate well with not dicernable miss until i back off again. If i shut off the car for a minute it will run normally again when i start it.
what the heck is going on?

Did you ever find out what was wrong? I have a 91 &it is acting that way now & I am stumpped:(

I have the same problem too on my 1995. I'm guessing it's the vacuum line or MAF sensor.
