2003 Pathfinder p1121 Starting issues

Having intermittent problems recentlywith a 2003 Nissan Pathfinder where on some occasionswhentrying to start the car, theengine does not go beyondidle speeed (approx 700-800 rpm) and the car will not drive.Depressing the accelerator pedal doesnot significantly change the rpm.The Service Engine light also comes on.Diagnostic codeP1211is generated.Eventually the car will start and run normally. Ireplaced the MAF sensor and tube but this did not make the problem go away. Local dealers unsure what is causing the issue. In researching, have read that other people have had similar problemsand have replaced throttle bodies, IAC valves, etc. Can anyone lend any insight as to how to fix this problem. Seemsto me that itis probably an electronic issue in the electronic throttle control. (Similar to a TPS) Did I mention that intermittent problems are a pain to deal with?

well if it has an electronic throttle control and not a cable then thats where i would assume the problem is. let me look up the code tommorow when i get to work and ill post it up tommorow what the code means ok just hold on until then.

Going to havea new electronic throttle assembly installed this week. If that ends up fixing the problem, will let everyone know for future reference

Did replacing the throttle sensor help?

I also see P1121 on a 2003 Nissan Pathfinder at 88K.

The car idles at 800-900 rpm and does not rev up when the gas is pushed. If I turn it off and wait and restart it. It will eventually work again. Resetting the code also seems to be a workaround for about 200 miles.

Any ideas?

Thanks.
