Default 2012 R51 cruise control

Morning Fellas

new to the forum so take it easy on me please i had a look through but couldnt find the answer so forgive me if i missed a previous thread

I think the clock spring on the steering wheel is faulty, cruise control only works when im turing the steering wheel which makes me think there is a broken connection on the clock spring, any 1 else come across this? horn is the same

if it is the fault can i replace on my own or would i need there computer as its on the airbag system?

Cheers

Sorry, I know I'm not answering your question but I also kinda have the same fault, the cruise control and speed limiter side of the controls only work with the wheel turned 90 degrees to the left. everything else works fine.
From what I've seen online there is a small hole on the bottom of the steering wheel. Use a flat blade screwdriver to push the release clip inside the hole and the airbag will spring away from the steering wheel.
It might be a bad coil spring (which is only £20 for a new one) or a loose connection from the controls.
For safety though I'd recommend disconnecting the battery before messing with the airbag.
