94 pathfinder horn & cruise control

The horn and cruise on my 94 pathfinder are working intermittingly. If I have the steering wheel/tires set to go straight both horn and cruise do not work. If I turn the wheel 90 to 180 degrees they work! I have removed the cover assembly, tried to check the wires (did not see any breaks); moved/jiggled wires to no avail. Both wire sets plug into the back of the steering wheel and appear to be on tight.Anyone have any ideas? Really frustrating.....

RE: 94 pathfinder horn & cruise control

Turns out that the ground wire had a break in it at the connector. Screwed ground wire securely and horn & cruise now work.

Remove the steering wheel. You will see three copper 4 mm.diameter contacts pointing towards you. Those contacts complete the electrical connection for the horn and the cruise control. If they are too worn out, have an electrical technician solder copper of the same diameter on top of those contacts.
