Hey I have a 96 Pathfinder. I was going down the road and my brake light and battery light came on at the same time. Whats going on with this?

 

Your belt of ur altonator is going or is already broke i just delt with this over x mas mine blew a belt on the highway altho it took a tranny line with it not a fun day

 

I have a 97 Nissan pickup with the same issues. Problems is that I changed the belt (in fact I changed all 3 belts) before it broke. Applied the right amount of tension according to maintenance manual. Ran fine for about 2 weeks and now the brake and battery warning lights are back on. Could it be that my altenator is bad?
