Default Instrument Cluster fault. Out of options.

Hi All,

The instrument cluster on my 98 Pathfinder just exhibited the famous problem: ODO reads 999999, temp and fuel gauges are on max and the tach is fluctuating erratically and the tach is hardly moving...

I've read about this problem online, but the thing is I cannot find a replacement anywhere in my country and I cannot buy online cos there is no reliable mail service... so sending it for repair to the US is out of the question.

My only option is to find a way to repair it.

I read about having to reprogram the EEPROM or changing transistor, but I'm not sure what to do and how to do it.

Anyone had this problem? What should I do? Already removed the cluster.

Thank you kindly in advance.
