loud fanbelt
 

I have a 2002 pathfinder with an extremely loud fan belt. It was never this loud prior to having a new one installed, but about one month after being replaced it started squealing. Unlike other cars I have owned the squealing does not stop after the car warms. It has been to the dealer a number of times to correct this problem, but they just keep telling me that there is nothing I can do to rectify this problem. Any suggestions?

Hi,
Not sure if this will help, but I had a similar problem recently. I didnt know what the issue was until my power steering went out. I had to replace the harmonic balancer. No more squealing!
