Default Swaying

My 97 Pathfinder seems to sway enough to notice. The swaying occurs more frequently then before, over 35 mph, typically over a rough highway road, but also on the smooth surface. I noticed the boots (closest to the front wheel) holding the grease for the sway bar is riped and the grease has come out. I assumed this was the reason for the swaying (no grease = wear and tear) hoewever was told that it is the rear end. Any thoughts?

Hey ckool, I am having a very similar problem. I can't tell where the problem is coming from, but I'm told it is coming from the rear from several mechanics; none of which could pinpoint the problem. It feels like I'm rocking on a boat. Any luck with a fix?
