Default Tire Pressure Sensors

My boss and I both have 2005 Pathfinders, his is 2WD, and mine is 4WD. Recently, both of them are having the same problem, all 4 tires have 35 pounds of pressure, but our low tire pressure light is on. Are these sensors prone to failure, or is there some other issue lurking in the wiring?

They are prone to failing.... but does the light come on when you first start to drive and then go off after a few minutes of driving ? .... Common issue in the winter because of the cold air.

No, it is always on. How does one determine which one has failed?
Thank you for your prompt answer.
