Brake light 'button' on pedal gone
 

I came home the other day and saw the brake lights were on. I checked it out, and found that there WAS a little plastic button on the brake pedal that used to press the brake light switch when the pedal was in the home position. That button broke, and subsequently the switch wasn't deactivating. I put a ¼x20 bolt in the hole and called it fixed. Has anyone else run into this before?

luckily I'm not, its sound to complicated I can't figure out what to do either.
