Default Hello

Hello - just last night, we traded my wife's tired 91 Aerostar van for a very clean 02 quest GLE with 50k on the odo. The van looks, runs, sounds, and smells new.

I had a question, though.

I was wondering if anyone has replaced the vertically mounted VCP in the center console with a DVD player - in the same location - and if so what kind of player was used, any trouble encountered, etc...

Wiring shouldn't be too difficult, but I've had a hard time finding a decent DVD player that can mount vertically. In fact, it's been hard to find a plain DVD player, without tuner and amp and/or built-in screen, which I obviously don't need.

I'm not sure, but doesn't that VCR unit have input jacks? You could by a small portable DVD and plug it into that unit.

I have found a Magnavox DVD player for $25 at Best Buy last week. I was thinking of replacing my VCP with this one, but I got the VCP working fine. NowI just need to find a replacement LCD screen because mine is cracked. [&:]
