2005 Sentra carpet problems????

I have an 05 Sentra and while cleaning I noticed that my carpet is starting to rip, im sure the salt doesnt help at all, but it seems as if the carpet doesnt even fit that well there are lots of places where u can push the carpet down like it is not tight against the floor at all. Is this normal any one elses 05 sentra seem to be like this?
