Nissan SentraThe Sentra has grown to be one of the most popular cars ni the sport compact market with its powerful 4 cylinder engine and spacious interior.
my 2015 Sentra sv is showing code p2004. Car has 59k miles
intake manifold runner control stuck open bank 1a.
When I first start the car for the day it can’t accelerate for ****. Like it’s stuck shifting. If I go really slow with the acceleration it can shift OK. But if I’m a red light and need to gas it, I ain’t goin anywhere fast. When I go up hills with it I have to put on my hazards and hope people pass me.
now… I can drive it for a few minutes then park it.. turn engine off.. turn it back on then it runs just fine. Also. When it isn’t working fine the electronic stability control warning light is on. When that light isn’t on the car drives just fine but the check engine light remains on.
I’ve had the fluid serviced since it started. No improvements. A shop replaced the SWIRL CONTROL VALVE POSITION SENSOR and problem persists.
. Now the shop wants me to spend 5k on a new transmission. Any other suggestions or is it truly the transmission going bad?
The device I use shows 7E8: Engine which has the p2004 code and 7E9: A/T but doesn’t show any codes when I check it.
