Hi I have a nissan sentra 1994 automatic transmission. What can i do to increase the speed and horse power without changing the engine?

my friend says i need to change the spark plugs and the fuel hose and air filter and add muffler. would that increase the speed?

 

Spark plugs eh not really, a aftermarket filter helps and a exhaust will flow better.

 

Adding a muffler won't do anything but make noise.... for more power get atleast a cat-back exhaust.

 

It has been dyno proven that even a little cheap-o muffler will make some gains. On a 06 Eclipse they dynoed 5 more hp.

But for better gains get a catback mentral bend exhaust.

 

Not to knock what your sayin bro....but that's not correct..... A dyno's number can fluctuate between 5-10hp depending on the weather conditions, how many time the car has been ran that day, the moisture in the air ... etc etc etc.... On average a cat back mendral bent exhaust give gains at about 5whp on a stock vehicle.

 

Every car responds to modification differently.
