I need someone that knows mecanic work I have a 96 nissan sentra 1.6 value engine and I notice two days ago that it's makeing a sound underneath the hood and a couple of seconds after the noise the car throws out a white smoke thru the tail pipe of the muffler I need to know what I can do to fix this problem.

 

which side of the engine is the noise coming from ? if it coming from the pulley side IIRC it may be your timing chain going bad
