CV Joint replacement
Has anybody ever had to replace the CV joints in their sentra?I've gotta repair manual and it doesn't seem extremely difficult, but I would like to hear from somebody whose done it before and knows from experience. Thanks

RE: CV Joint replacement
if you have a b13 or b14 sentra that not hard, your going have to jack up the car and put on stands (the higher the better) and your going to need a 1"1/4 or 32mm deep socket to remove the axle nut and then your going to need to pull the cotter pin out of the lower ball joint and use an open end wrench 22mm or 24mm not sure and your going to have to loosen and and break the ball joint loose with a pry bar, to pull the ball joint nut off and then put the axle nut slightly on the axle and hammer it out of the hub so you dont mushroom the threads on the axle then you use a pry bar and put it between the tranny and inner cv on the axle and pry it out, your going to need a drain pan cause its going to drain tranny fluid and then replace the axle and repeat the procedure in the reverse order and add tranny fluid and your back on the road. the hardest parts can be breaking loose the ball joint axle out of hub and possibly getting axle out of tranny if its an older sentra.
