electrical problems

Default electrical problems

i have a 94 sentra and just out of the blue my brake lights just started staying on all the time... the only way i figured out to get them off is to pull the fuse...has anyone else had i simular problem and know how to fix it...im stumped right now

it sounds like your brake switch is stuck closed, its by the top part of your brake pedal under the dash, and there easy to put in just make sure you adjust it to turn the brake lights on when you barely move your brake pedal. you can get the switch from any nissan dealer and if you dont feel comfortable to put it in since the diagnosis has already been done you would only be looking at about half an hour of labor wich is about $40 to install plus part. well let us know how it turns out. good luck
