Engine shut off on frwy, but power still on
 

Yeah, no good.

So I was driving on the freeway and the engine cut out. All the lights and everything worked, just the engine didnt. I came to a stop, turned the car all the way off, turned it back on and it wouldn't turn over. I got out, opened the hood to see if there was a leak, or anything loose, anything I could see and nothing. I double checked my connections to the battery.

I was able to get it started again (magically after leaving it for a couple of minutes) and got going again. It died again, and i just waited and turned it back on to get home.

So here I am. Help?

What was the temp reading when it shut down? Did it make any noise or jerk or anything or did it just cut off? Have you have the code read on the computer see if MAYBE it tells you what happened?

Just curious - I work in a dealership in the service department, and I have never seen this happen!

Im not sure if this would help or if you have already solve the problem. Try checking the distributor?

I had the same problem last year. I was driving and the engine suddenly stop. I had lights but I cant start the engine.
