I know the window sticker says 28/34 mpg with a 1.8/auto but what does everyone REALLY get? Haven't gone through the 1st tank yet.

 

well,it should improve as the engine breaks in, and break in point it probably around 3000 miles..i think.

 

29 mpg on the first tank.....mostly around town. I can't believe the oil change specs call for a little under 3 qts of oil with a filter change.......that's minimal.
The 29 mpg beats s my 98 Ranger 4 banger Supercab by 6 mpg.

 

was the ranger a 4wd?

 

No 4wd, just a 2.5L with a 5 spd.
