Just noticed an open screw hole on my engine - any idea? see photo

I was trying to tighten the power steering pump belt on my 97 Nissan Sentra GXE 1.9 liter and noticed a screw hole with no screw on it. I can see the threads inside. I looked at the photos on Haynes manual, they also have a photo with that screw missing! Please look at the photo and let me know if I should put a small bolt to close the screw hole or the purpose of the threaded hole. Thanks.
