motor swap for my sentra
 
I have a 1997 Nissan Sentra GXE and i was wondering what would be a good engine that i could swap into it? the stock engine is a 1.6L DOHC.

i believe that the sr20det is the popular engine for swapping into the sentra

i agree with the sr20. it fits pretty nicely from what i have heard and it gives it a nice center of gravity which equals to better perfomance from the car.

Just drop in a bluebird det in there and you'll love it. I have a 98 SE with the same motor and it hauls ass. Gotta love the SR20DETs!

make sure you get the FWD Sr20DEt motors... the RWD motors will not work.

And know it will be expensive as heck. I had a 97 as well, and thought about it. In the end I bought a 2000 SE. Given, there is no turbo.... but I'm very happy with it.
