What happend is i was one the road and all of a sudden it turned off and i couldnt get it to start back up, The lights were on and when i tried to turn the car on they went dim. Is it the starter or what could be the problem because a few people told me that it was the starter and Im trying to find the starter but i cant find that either. So any help would be helpful.

 

does the starter turn over at all? if it does, does it have any compression or does it sound like it is just spinning but not wanting to start? did you over heat the car? and what kind of car is it? dont jump to conclusions just yet cause you might just be wasting your money.
