As the title says, I'm new to the forum. The days of the family mini-van are numbered so I'm looking at buying a Sentra, maybe in the 2000 to 2005 range. On paper the 4 cyl of the Sentra gets at least 10 MPG more than the (domestic) mini-van, which is big bonus. A coworker has a 95 Sentra with > 150k on it. The only maintenance he's done is CV joints & the oil leak. For a small car these seem to be a pretty nice unit. On the flip side I can expect the transmission in the van to fail. What are the weak points, strong points and what is there to watch out for when I look for one?
