RE: replacing timing belt

well it doesnt have a timing belt it has a timing chain and you uasually should not have to replace it until you start hearing a noise or it snaps but if you do want to change it alldata says it takes 12 hours to replace. but it is a real pain to do if you never done one before on that engine. my sentra gxe has 125,000 miles and i still have not had to change the timing chain. but the manufacture recomends to change the chain every 112,000 miles. well hope this was helpfull.

RE: replacing timing belt

If anything. I would replace your timing chain tensioner. Because that will start whining and making sounds when you first start up your car.
