I have a 2003 Nissan Sentra with 90k miles on it. The service engine soon light came on. I had autozone read the codes and they show an error code of P0462, which is the Fuel level Sensor Circuit Low Input. The fuel guage seems to be working just fine. If the guage is working fine, then why would I get this error code? Also, where is this sensor located and where can I purchase one at a reasonable price. Autozone did not show this part. Does anyone have the Nissan part number and any suggestions as to where to purchase other than a dealer. Also, when I replace this, how do I clear the codes?

 

for that year sentra you can only get it from the dealer and also its a code that you can safely drive with on its wont hurt anything except possibly your gauge not working. also the fuel gauge level sensor is in the fuel tank, there should be an access panel under your rear seat to get to it.

 

My guage does and has worked just fine. I have never had a problem with it. Is there any possibility that this was just a freak incident to record this error code, and if cleared it might not come back? If so, I will probably try that route and see if it comes back. How do I clear the code from the ECU?
