taillights
 

yes just got a free 97 sentra but i was wondering if anyone had suggestions on why my tailights stay on even when the car is switched off?an i also have no brake lights. thanks

Sounds like the lever switch in the steering wheel. Left side also does the signal light function and headlights / park lights etc. Easy to remove, about 8 screws on the steering wheel cover / then two screws and a plus in connector. The brake light should be bulb but if its both i am not sure.

it sounds like your brake light switch is badthats why the brake lights dont work unless your bulbs are bad,and also check your multifunction switchto see if its causing it to get connection but all your parking lights would be on if it was a bad multifunction switch so you might have a short in the tailight harness.
