I need help gettin a Skyline
 

I need some help finding an R34 prefferably. I talked to the Sales reps at the nissan dealership that i work at and they said it would cost mass amounts almost as much as the car itself to import a JDM skyline. I dont know how the cars get here i just fix them. So for all i know the salesmen just doesnt want to jag around with the exporting and importing of a car for me. I live in the states i dont know if this forum is international or not but for refferance. If sombody has a Skyline or knows and easier way of getting one that doesnt cost as much as the car itself.

I hope sombody could help me out that would rock. Maybe i can get you discount parts from my work if you help me lol

Check these guys. www.evolutionimports.com They can get you just about anything. There are a few companies that deal with "grey market" cars. One in texas, another in california. Unfortunately I have no information on these. Look at the UK Skyline registry website. They have an FAQ section to answer these questions. DON'T talk to Motorex, WAAAAYY more expensive than anywhere else. As a reference for costs, count on 10,000 for making it legal, and 6000 to 8000 for the fees and paperwork. You will still come out way ahead of Motorex. Good luck

ive seen US titled skylines for sale on www.autotrader.com under unspecified models but the lowest price ive seen was like $40,000 you can also buy a new one from japan but your going to need to buy two of them and ship them over and you going to have to let the department of transportation crash and destroy to see if it meets US standard, or you can wait until late 2007-2008 when the skyline comes to america but it would be called the infinniti GTR so good luck let us know if you get one.

There is now a company (I'll post the name when I remember) who is having the engine and tranny pulled and then selling the car as a "kit car". When you buy it, You get a rolling chassis and the engine/tranny package in two shipments, make it a legal kit car. Supposedly much easier to register.
