Ok Guys they are now available, Nissan has just introduced an iPod Interface, what this does is if you have the 6 CD system, there is a port on the back of the radio, you hook this interface cable to that port, and put the cable into the glove box, you hook your iPOd to this cable, and WAM! you have complete control from your head unit, scan songs, see the lcd display, and it also charges while hooked to this cable.
This is an awesome kit, and it is a Genuine Nissan Parts, so you get the factory 12 month/ unlimited mileage warranty.

Do you know if the Ipod Interface can be installed into a 2002 xterra. Mine has the 6 cd changer, but ive heard that you can only install it into the 2005-2006 models.

How difficult is it to install hte iPod interface? Would I have to take it to the dealer or can I do it myself? I have an '06 Xterra with the 6 CD changer so the vehicle is wired for the ipod interface.

 

It will only work for the 06 Xterra, the radio in the previous models is not compatable.

 

Is the 6 CD changer something that can be swapped with the base head unit?
