Challenges and Opportunities for Diesel Mechanics

Hello everyone,

I’m considering a career working on heavy vehicles and am particularly drawn to diesel engine repair. I want to learn from experienced Diesel Mechanics about what makes someone successful in this line of work. Which skills, certifications, or on-the-job experiences are most important?

Are there specific pitfalls to avoid when starting out, and how can one build a long-term career in this industry? Any insights into daily responsibilities, troubleshooting techniques, or advice on staying updated with industry trends would be invaluable.

I’m eager to hear personal stories and professional tips from those in the field.
