Sorry if I’m beating a dead horse here. I have a 2005 Nissan Titan 4x2 with a floor shift RE5R05A transmission. This truck has a “Tow Mode” button but no “Diff Lock Button”. The trans needs to be replaced and I’m looking to do it as economically as possible as the truck is not in the best shape and resides here in rust belt of “The Peoples Republic Of New York”. I have found a couple of options at local junkyards. After reading many posts from multiple forums, I am still uncertain as to what transmissions are interchangeable. I know it must be from a 4x2 truck. Questions I cannot definitely answer are the following… can I use a collum shifted trans as mine is a floor shift and can I use a trans from a truck that had a locking Diff as mine does not?
