Last year, I pushed home an '86 Maxima I picked up from a neighbor for $100. I installed one of those big, red starter buttons (the column was all f*cked up), a fresh air intake and a minimalist exhaust. I then drove it up to US 131 Motorsports Park (dragway) here in MI. In the end, I beat my buddy's 5.0 Ford and ran a best of 16.7 @ 83.1. Not bad for my first time at the strip and less than $200 (includes race gas and $15 entry fee)....
