HELLO ALL,
I CALLED MY LOCAL NISSAN DEALER AND THEY TOLD ME THAT MY SENTRA USES 5W-40 OIL. MINE IS A 2001 XE 4 DOOR SEDAN WITH A 1.8L ENGINE. HAS ANYONE BEEN TOLD THE SAME?
JUST CURIOUS.

it should say in the "capacities" section of your owners manual

5w40 oil has not been recommended by any manufacturer since the 1960s. Nissan since the 1980s has recommended nothing but 5w30 or 10w30.
